Maybe dry skin and static cling are annoying during the winter months?

Here are only a few more reasons to consider a humidifier during the cold, dry season.

Humid

Heal faster: Whether it be a cold or allergies, a humidifier keeps your nasal passages lubricated, which helps speed up the healing process when you’re under the weather. For people with bad allergies, there are humidifiers that are specially designed to purify the air as well.

Fewer nosebleeds: Another reason keeping your nasal passages moist and lubricated is helpful in preventing nosebleeds. If you’re regularly experiencing nosebleeds due to your dry climate, it’s worth a try. Many people have found that it makes a big difference.

Support beautiful skin: Soothe dry skin by sleeping with a humidifier on through the night. In the morning, you’ll not only notice that your face looks suppler, and your hands and lips won’t feel dry and dehydrated either.

*The type of humidifier you choose depends on your preferences, budget, and the extent of the area in which you want to add moisture. There are five types of humidifiers:

  • central humidifiers
  • evaporators
  • impeller humidifiers
  • steam vaporizers
  • ultrasonic humidifiers

For the best results, the Environmental Protection Agency recommends that the humidity level in your home not exceed 50 percent. (EPA)

New-YearsIt’s time to ring in the New Year!

Here are some of the most common New Year’s Resolutions. What are yours?

-I will improve my fitness
-I will spend more time with family
-I will lose weight
-I will quit smoking
-I will enjoy life more
-I will get out of debt
-I will learn something new

ProductsWe’re going to break down a list of products in order of start to finish. We do not recommend you necessarily need to use all of these products, but because everyone has different skin types and everyone uses different products, it’s a good list to find the ones you use and follow the order of start to finish.
Skin Care Routine – Start to Finish
-Cleanser: Start out with a clean slate each day.
-Toner: Used mostly from those with oily skin and should be used on freshly clean skin.
-Glycolic Acid: Once you start looking for anti-aging properties, many people toss the toner for a glycolic acid product. Face wipes make it super easy to incorporate effective exfoliation into your morning routine.
-Spot Treatment: If you’re using a spot treatment for acne, the active ingredients need to be directly on the skin’s surface for best results. Use after your toner or glycolic acid treatment.
-Serum: Serums contain highly-concentrated ingredients that penetrate the skin’s surface deeper than moisturizers. A serum should always be applied before your moisturizer.
-Moisturizer: Apply your daily moisturizer after your serum has had time to completely soak in.
-Eye Cream: Apply with your ring fingers and gently pat it into the skin around the eyes.
-Sunscreen: If your moisturizer does not have SPF protection, use a stand-alone facial sunscreen. Reapply throughout the day.
-Primer: If you use makeup and would like to use a primer, it would come after your facial skin care products. Follow with concealer and foundation.
Before bed, follow the same routine (without sunscreen, of course) but make sure you’re not overdoing some of the products that have harsh ingredients in them which could lead to dry, red or flaky skin. Make sure to follow the recommendations by the manufacturer. Some products are only needed in the morning (example: eye creams for puffy eyes) while others should be used morning and night (moisturizers).

Vi 1

Ingredients
The VI Peel consists of a synergistic blend of five acids that no other peel offers:
TCA – Trichloroacetic Acid for penetration, deep scar healing;
stimulates collagen growth;
Retin-A – acid derived from vitamin A to combat wrinkles;
Salicylic Acid – this beta hydroxy acid (BHA) is an exfoliant;
Phenol – has antiseptic and anesthetic properties;
aids in skin penetration;
Vitamin C – ascorbic acid has antioxidant and mild exfoliation properties

Contraindications
Those with allergies to any of the ingredients above and women who are pregnant or nursing should not undergo a VI Peel.

Pre-Peel Skin Care
For one week prior to receiving the VI Peel, the best results are achieved by having a consultation with a skin care professional to discuss the peel pre- and post-peel home care to acheive the best results from the VI Peel and to maintain those benefits.

Post-Peel Skin Care
The VI Peel has just given you the equivalent of multiple peels. So, for a week or two following the peel it’s best to avoid exfoliating products like glycolic acid and retinols. Avoid direct and prolonged exposure to the sun, and we recommend you use a sunscreen at all times.
Resist the temptation of pulling your peeling skin off – it’s important that you let it peel naturally. Manage your appearance instead with the included post-peel kit and an oil-free moisturizer. Do not use topical Hydrocortisone Creams, such as our Aloe-Cort cream, as they will stop the peeling process.

You deserve to be beautiful!

Are you tired of shaving? Have you considered laser hair removal? What is laser hair removal?

Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is a procedure in which hair is destroyed by utilizing a long pulse laser. This process has been designed and perfected through years of research and experience.

The laser parameters are carefully determined by examining the anatomy of the hair follicle and precisely matching the laser light and pulse duration to the follicle size, depth and location. This process prevents the regrowth of the hair in the designated treatment area.
